What types of products can be developed? +

Most cosmetic categories can be produced, including skincare, hair care, body care, color cosmetics, and fragrance. We can recommend formulas and packaging to match your brand concept, and development is possible even with just an initial idea.

Is development possible without a detailed plan? +

Yes, customization is available based on your desired texture, scent, color, and efficacy (function). Even if you only provide your target customer profile and general direction, we will offer trend-aligned proposals.

Which countries can you export to? +

If you accurately specify your target market information in the development request form, we can develop products more quickly and safely in compliance with that country's regulations.

MOQ
What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)? +

Generally, MOQ starts from 3,000 units, though some products may allow flexible small-batch production. If you need a smaller quantity, please contact us separately and we will review your request.

How can I check the MOQ for each product? +

You can find the exact MOQ information directly on each product's detail page.

Does MOQ change if the volume (size) is small? +

Yes, in general, smaller volumes may increase the minimum production quantity. For products under 100ml, MOQ may start from 3,000 units or more.

Sample & Shipping
How long does sample production take? +

Sample preparation typically takes 1–3 weeks. However, the timeline may vary depending on the level of detail in the initial brief, the complexity of the target formula, and the lab's schedule.

How can I check the status of my sample? +

At each sample stage, we share real-time photos and videos along with a brief description of the sample. Your dedicated account manager will stay in close contact via email or WhatsApp to exchange feedback.

When will I receive my sample? +

Once sample receipt is confirmed, a DHL shipment is arranged immediately. Once the shipment is processed, we will provide you with a tracking number so you can monitor delivery.

Is there a limit to the number of samples I can request? +

We secure the maximum quantity allowed by the manufacturer so you can test thoroughly within the lab's available resources. Rather than sending an arbitrary large quantity, our principle is to provide the optimal amount for accurate and efficient feedback exchange.

What is the cost for samples? +

There is no charge for product samples; only the shipping/logistics cost for sending the samples is billed. If sample requests are repeatedly made without any actual order delivery, a separate sample fee may be charged in accordance with our internal policy in order to maintain quality.

Formula / Ingredients
Can I add specific ingredients? +

Please let us know your desired concept ingredients or efficacy when submitting your inquiry, and we will find the optimal solution for you.

Can the formula be changed? +

Yes, it is possible. Please describe your preferences for texture, scent, color, and concept ingredients in detail. Our experts will review and work with you to find the best development direction.

Will the color be exactly as shown in the image? +

Proceeding with the exact color shown is possible, but color changes (customization) are also available.

Design / Logistics Cost
Is the $0 design fee correct? +

SPS cosmetic design experts provide full-service package planning and production for containers, outer boxes, labels, stickers, and more. If design has been a concern for you, we strongly recommend utilizing our professional packaging designer's expertise.

What is the basis for logistics costs? +

Our standard quotation is based on FOB terms. This includes all costs related to domestic inland transportation in Korea, port loading, and export customs clearance.

Ocean/air freight charges incurred after loading and import customs in the destination country are handled directly by the buyer, allowing buyers to plan their international logistics with full transparency.

Container / Packaging
Can I add a logo? Are post-processing options (coating, stamping, printing, etc.) available? +

Yes, various post-processing options are available within the designated printable area of each container, including glossy/matte coating, hot stamping, silk printing, gold/silver foil, and engraving. However, the printable location and applicable methods may vary by container.

Can the container color be changed? +

Color changes to your preferred color are possible. The color shown in the image is for reference only and can be adjusted to match your brand direction.

Note: For small-batch MOQ 1,000 products, changing the color may increase the MOQ.

Testing / Certification
What are ST (Stability) and CT (Compatibility) tests? +

These are mandatory tests in cosmetic product development.

1. ST (Stability Test): Verifies that the product does not deteriorate under various environmental conditions such as temperature and light, and sets the shelf life. (Typically takes 3–6 months)

2. CT (Compatibility Test): Verifies the compatibility between the formula and its container, ensuring there is no interaction or quality change over the product's shelf life.

How do I proceed with clinical testing? +

It takes a minimum of 1 month, depending on the test items. If a local clinical report tailored to the export country is required, the brand company must issue it directly. However, if Korean clinical testing is acceptable for your target country/conditions, SPS can handle the application on your behalf, and we will guide you through it.

What is the process for clinical testing? +

The process is as follows:

1. Complete the clinical request form
2. Receive a quotation and confirm the clinical trial
3. Sign the contract and proceed with the clinical trial

How do I obtain additional certification marks for my cosmetics? +

If you require a specific certification (e.g., Vegan, Halal, Clean Beauty), please make sure to inform us at the time of initial inquiry. The initial formula must be developed with those certification standards in mind, and the feasibility of obtaining the certification may vary depending on the development direction.

Quality / Factory
Where are the factories located? +

SPS has a network of 40+ verified partner manufacturers in Korea. Through our deeply established manufacturer network built over many years, we precisely match the optimal factory that best fits your target formula and project plan. Leveraging our strong partnerships, we offer the most competitive pricing and solutions.

Can I trust the quality of your factories? +

All factories hold certifications such as CGMP, ISO, and ECOCERT, and have a proven history of producing products for major brands over many years.

How is production quality managed? +

Quality is monitored through checklists across the entire process — from the planning stage through sample testing, stability testing, full production, and pre-shipment inspection.

Lead Time / Process
What does the overall development process look like? +

The process proceeds as follows: Review of Development Request Form → Concept Sharing → Sample Development → Package Design & Confirmation → Full Production → Delivery, with a dedicated manager closely supporting each stage.

How long does the entire lead time take? +

From design and formula finalization to full production, it takes approximately 6–8 weeks on average. However, the timeline may be flexible depending on whether packaging customization is involved, and the total lead time to final delivery may vary by destination country.

Fast Launch
I want to launch quickly. How do I get started? +

Select your desired formula or finished product from the [Formula] or [Works] menu, and indicate your intention for a fast launch when submitting your project inquiry. Checking the matched 'CT test-completed' containers listed below and including them in your inquiry will enable an even faster consultation.

How long does a fast launch take from start to product launch? +

Launch is possible within approximately 4 months after final specifications are confirmed. Because the time-consuming formula development and mandatory tests (ST & CT) have been completed in advance, the typical development timeline has been dramatically reduced.

Wholesale
Is SPS simply a distribution company? +

No, we are an OEM/ODM production partner. However, we provide a complete one-stop solution that seamlessly connects your finished products directly to global distribution channels.

Which countries are covered in your distribution network? +

We currently hold an extensive network of verified distributors across key global markets, including the US, Canada, UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Hong Kong, India, and select European markets.

What are the distribution terms regarding exclusivity and commissions? +

All distribution terms—including regional exclusivity and commission structures—are tailored and negotiated case-by-case, depending on your specific product category, brand positioning, and target regions.

What materials do we need to prepare for global wholesale buyers? +

You will need to provide product certifications, an export price list (FOB basis), a brand profile/introduction sheet, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) details, and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

If we manufacture our products with you, do you automatically connect us to distribution channels? +

Yes. Upon successful completion of your OEM project, we can connect your brand directly to our global buyer network of 190+ active brands via Blooming Korea. This connection is available to our partners even without a separate distribution contract.

Is the manufacturing MOQ the same as the distribution MOQ? +

Not necessarily. While the initial manufacturing phase is bound by factory minimums, our distribution network can often purchase or test-launch in smaller, flexible wholesale batches depending on the target region and specific retailer requirements.

Do you provide marketing assets or samples for global wholesale buyers? +

Yes, we do more than just ship products. Through our 'free professional design support' service, we assist in customizing professional marketing sheets and visual assets tailored to meet global buyer expectations. Furthermore, sample requirements for major retail pitches are coordinated closely alongside our brand partners.

What are the payment terms for wholesale orders? +

We typically work with T/T (Telegraphic Transfer), depending on order volume and regional requirements. Payment terms are discussed and finalized during the partnership agreement stage.

Who owns the brand and IP if I manufacture and distribute with SPS? +

All brand IP, trademarks, and product formulations developed for your brand remain entirely your property. SPS acts solely as a production and distribution partner, not a co-owner.
